Meldrum Dent has come a long way in becoming an advert production company working with highly esteemed clients all over the UK. Starting in the world of social video, we were already well-versed in standalone video advert production to communicate brand messaging, so a move to becoming a TV advert production company made sense as we saw that some of the techniques that made social videos ‘bang’ could be translated across to the more traditional world of TV advert production.

Encouraged by the fact that many of our clients, who had previously only run digital campaigns, were looking to try out TV, we launched into TV commercial production in 2018 with a focus on creating cost-effective ads that disrupted the formulaic monotony of TV ad breaks. Since then, we’ve developed a production process to simultaneously shoot TV and social ads, stretching our clients’ budgets further for delivery across multiple platforms. Although there are nuances to the deliverables for each, production can allow for them all with careful planning.
